ABOUT OLIVIA'S
Our Story
In 2018 my husband and I gave a new turn to our lives. In Greece on the Peloponnese we created a beautiful place.
Looking out over the blue sea and our olive grove, an idea came to me. Who wouldn't want to enjoy our numerous gnarled olive trees?
Ancient trees, crooked and youthful trees whose branches point in all directions. Trees that stay green all year round and where beautiful full olives grow every year. Olivia's Olive Oil was born!
I can't bring the olive trees to you, but I can bring the delicious olive oil that comes from them. Just like the Greeks, I now also look with love and respect at (for me) the most beautiful trees on earth: the olive trees. Our trees are treated with respect and care, the olives are cherished.
Every year we harvest the olives ourselves with some help. Big jute bales of olives find their way to the olive press in Methoni the same day. Only then can olive oil have the title extra virgin. A whole processing process takes place here.
The olives are ground into pulp and cold pressed at a maximum temperature of 28 degrees.
The acidity is determined. Then the beautiful green olive oil ends up in large cans. The next day the olive oil is filtered again so that it is as clear and the beautiful color stands out even better. The olive oil is bottled in chic bottles and sturdy cans. This year the acidity is 0.2. Unprecedentedly good and of superior quality.
Due to the great success, we now receive help from our Greek friend Anastasiou Diles and we harvest even more delicious olives for Olivia's olive oil from his orchards.
We find these orchards in Dileka, his now abandoned birth village and in the same region as Kamaria where we have our olive grove.
